Manayunk Stoops

This sign was designed to explain an art project along the Manayunk Canal Towpath that was commissioned by the Fairmount Park Art Association. Stoops, or steps leading to a building's entrance, are a recognizable feature of Manayunk's architecture; these freestanding stoops were given mosaic patterns by artist Diane Pieri with iconography also representative of Manayunk's natural and man-made features. The sign panel was designed to fit with physical sign stanchions already in the Fairmount Park sign system. (Designed with Cloud Gehshan Associates)
