Main Line Train Stations

The “Main Line” of Philadelphia’s suburbs got its name from the commuter rail line that services the region. The railroad has been an important part of life for this string of towns, which includes Devon, Wayne, Wynnewood and Merion. These stations had been the focus of my academic work at Cornell, resulting in a 335 page master’s thesis on their history, current conditions and future. I continue to be involved in their preservation, with my continued research and work at St. Davids and Devon Stations.
